Hiking With Friends

On Saturday we had our friends, the Raicharts, over for an afternoon hike at Silver Falls and dinner. We had a great time together with 9 children between us including two foster children (one for each of us). After our hike we came home to pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and rhubarb crisp. Yum! We enjoyed catching up with our friends, encouraging each other and hearing about their upcoming mission trip to Tanzania.

Valentine's Tea Party

This past week we had our Valentine's day tea party with our Rubies club. The girls look forward to Valentine's day all year and spent a week handmaking all their valentines for their friends. We had a wonderful tea party with lots of cakes, goodies and a craft.

How Big Are You?

West's favorite game right now is, "How Big Are You?". We ask him and he lifts his arms over his head in delight while we squeal, "Sooooooooooooooo Big!"

A Skirt for Annah

When we stopped by Joann's fabric store last week to pick up some Valentine's fabric to make a table runner, Annah begged me to make her a Valentine's day skirt to wear to a party for our Rubies mother-daughter club. I couldn't resist her sweet, hopeful smile nor the chance to make my little girl feel special. This simple little skirt was ready in 20 minutes; just in time for the party that night.
