January started off with a quiet night at home and then a family day at the movies (Mary Poppins Returns) and lunch at Tomato Street.Shane received a gift card from a student athlete and it was great fun to treat ourselves to a day out.
Mira, Annah and I had a girls afternoon at Starbucks. The past year they've gotten me into bullet journaling (a way to create a custom calendar/agenda) and we spent the afternoon writing out our resolutions and goals for this year. I got myself a bullet journal over the summer as a way to have something to do with the girls that they enjoy.
We also hosted our friends the Hopps for racklette dinner which is always so fun. A European meal that's similar to fondue that Shane and I were introduced to in Europe many years ago. We love being with our friends and had a fun night eating and playing Scattegories.
We haven't had much snow yet this year but when we woke up to a fresh dusting of snow, Mira had dressed up Ruby in her old nightgown and fur stole. She's been planning a Narnia photoshoot down the street.
