Putting the events of the last few months into words is impossible right now but the fact is that the Lord clearly showed us that he has new plans for us. We're being obedient and trying to be brave and follow him. In two weeks we move to Spokane, Washington where Shane will be a professor and athletic trainer at Whitworth University. 

We're leaving our beloved home and favorite town ever. Our house sold by owner the first day on the market for full price to buyers who bought it sight unseen. Next week we sign the papers.

We made five offers on houses during two house hunting trips to Spokane. All of them fell through and then we found it. Our dream home. On the Little Spokane River with fly fishing soon to be a nightly ritual and wild turkeys living in our backyard. 1.5 acres with a goat barn for Mira's dairy goats and chicken coop and fenced in garden. Hills for sledding and pine trees for building forts. A huge shop with a woodstove for milking goats and Shane's workshop. Four bedrooms upstairs and two more bedrooms for guests plus an extra family room and bathroom in the basement. We are over the moon excited and feel it's a dream, too good to be true.

Our house in Silverton is packed and saying goodbye to dear friends and family has begun and is heartbreaking. We love it here. Our friends. Our church. Our family right next door. Dear neighbors and playmates down the street and our brand new homeschool co-op. Leaving here is one of the hardest things we've ever done. If we didn't have so many confirmations from our God that this was and is his will we probably would never have dared to do it. But we don't want to be a family that lives the safe life. The comfortable life. A family that watches others live by faith and do great things that the Lord leads. We want to be willing to give it all up for Him if that is His will. We want to be used by him for a greater purpose and we know that he will use us through this move to further his kingdom somehow. On July 3rd we set out for our new home, our new town, our new life. We know no one there yet trust that the Lord has plans and a future for us in Spokane.
