In August We...
Oh and look closely at the photo above, Mira got braces this month! We should have had her raising money to pay for them!
Our Little Man
Annah's Special Day with Mama
This week Mira went to Canyonview camp, a local Christian day camp. Annah and I tried to do something special every day and one day we went to Create-a-Memory to make a birthday gift for Mira and something special for Annah. We left West at home with Mimi and had a great date. After painting we stopped by Shane's work to have lunch and watch football practice.
Silverton Art Festival

August 22, 2010
Fine arts, fun, food featured in Silverton
In the art activities area, princess headbands, collage cards, calligraphy notes and soap carvings are waiting to be created.
Annah Wibel, 5, and Mira Wibel, 8, of Silverton were up to their elbows in jewels, feathers, glitter and glue on the first day of the festival, which is in its 10th year.
Annah was especially focused on the task at hand — getting a feather to stick to the paper instead of her skin.
When asked what she'd do with the finished product — a collage card — the girl didn't have any spectacular plans.
"I'll just look at it," she said.
The girl's mother, Tirza Wibel, was sitting nearby, feeding her 5-month-old son, West.
"This is the highlight of their summer," she said. "They really have some great projects for kids. And, it's very relaxing; there's no rush."

Out in the Fields With God
by Louise Imogen Guiney
The little cares that fretted me,
I lost them yesterday,
Among the fields above the sea,
Among the winds at play,
Among the lowing of the herds,
The rustling of the trees,
Among the singing of the birds,
The humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might pass,
I cast them all away,
Among the clover-scented grass,
Among the new-mown hay,
Among the hushing of the corn
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill thoughts die and good are born--
Out in the fields with God.
