Baby Shower for Silas
Last week my best Silverton girlfriends blessed me with a little morning coffee party and baby shower to celebrate Silas. And they know me well; along with some lovely gifts they gave me a basket full of my favorite licorice tea and dark chocolate! What a treat to spend a morning with these girls drinking coffee and catching up on each others lives. With 16 (almost 17!) children between the five of us getting together doesn't happen as often as it used to. I am so thankful for these sweet friends and the chance to celebrate Silas with them.
My Boys
At 19 months old, Weston is all about his dad and doing anything Shane does., If Shane's making a fire, West has to be right there with him carrying in the firewood and building the fire along side him. Weston also loves to wrestle and of course they have to have wrestle time every morning before Shane starts math with the girls.
School Days
This year Mira is studying physics for science and the girls have had fun building with the Knex Intro to Simple Machines kits that we use along with the Real Science 4 Kids curriculum.
... and these are some photos from our fun Friday homeschool co-op in Salem. Mira is in the 10/11 year old class and Annah is in the 6/7's class. They both have history, science, geography, speech, art, latin and drama classes at co-op and love it. I help in both classes and am enjoying the extra fun experiments and crafts the girls get to do with a group of other kids.
In the photo above Mira is conducting an experiment in her chemistry class about how to measure the volume of an object.

Birthday Blessings
Yesterday I celebrated my 34th birthday with a wonderful breakfast and gifts from Shane and my children, a haircut in Salem, an appointment with my midwives at Bella Vie and a birthday dinner with mom, Chip and Granny. I'm so thankful for all the blessings in my life, especially these three (four) children and my family.

Moments
a few moments from our week...
a quiet morning working on Bible Study Fellowship with dad and a busy toddler
knitting a few more rounds on a bitty baby sweater, again with said busy toddler
giggling girls making two giant batches of chocolate dipped pretzels to fulfill orders that helped the girls be able to take theater classes
and ready to deliver the treats
working on a fall mural on the front porch
another one of Annah's ideas; this time silhouette cards
