Right Now

The reality is that life with a newborn means mountains of laundry and no time to fold it, Cheerios for dinner when a friend isn't bringing us a meal and so many trips to the doctor, the midwives, the hospital lab for blood draws that my head is spinning and my exhausted body collapses into bed at night. All of this is hard for my OCD personality and my need for control, but I'm learning to live with more chaos, more mess and more uncertainties and embrace the fact that I'm not in control, but the Lord is. And right now although there is the lunch mess in the kitchen still to clean up, a stack of school books to get through with the children this afternoon and another doctor appointment in an hour; all is well in my little world. And life is good.
